Check out our underground fence layouts below for ideas on how to set up your underground fence system. The layout designs below are among the most popular, but you're limited only by your imagination. With enough fence wire, you can create pretty much any design you like, as long as your design doesn't expand beyond the maximum range of your system.

Note: When doing any of the "Double Loop" installations in the examples below, the wires must be separated by at least three feet. Otherwise, the signals will cancel each other out, and you will have a hole in your containment area. A Double Loop is necessary only when enclosing less than all four sides of the property. This is required in these situations so the wire can make a continuous loop.

As you can see, one of the these undergound fence layouts will more than likely work for your yard. If not, it's quite easy to modify one of these examples to work for your situation. As stated earlier, you really are limited only by your imagination. I hope these examples help. If you haven't decided on an underground fence system, I recommend the Innotek Ultrasmart IUC-4100. It's our best seller. If your yard is larger than 25 acres, pick up the Sportdog SDF-100. The Sportdog system covers up to a massive 100 acres.
