When used with the Innotek UltraSmart Rechargeable Dog Fence, this extra collar receiver provides an effective way to keep dogs not only safe in the yard, but also clear of out-of-bounds areas such as flowerbeds, gardens, decorative shrubbery, and pools.
When the dog approaches the buried wire from the in-ground fencing system, a radio signal tells the dog's collar to administer a brief, electronic stimulation that the dog will quickly learn to avoid. For safety, the receiver ensures a proper collar fit with its ReadyTest, runs its own diagnostic to ensure all functions are working properly, and indicates when batteries need to be recharged.
